‘Agricultural and Industrial Development in India since Independence’
The Centre for Contemporary Indian Studies started its first online lecture on 22nd May 2020. The lecture was conducted by Dr. Partha Saha of Ambedkar University, Delhi, India. The two-hour long lecture was on “Agricultural and Industrial Development in India since Independence” the lecture was conducted for the fourth year International Relations students.
The key themes discussed during the lecture were agricultural development in India with special focus to the social context, crop production and dairy development. Moreover, technological advancements, social constraints, skill gap and future opportunities. The lecture was a success since the students were able to get a clear understanding of the Indian agricultural and industrial development.
