Dr. Payal Nagpal, Assistant Professor of Janaki Devi Memorial College, India conducted an online zoom lecture for the students of International Relations, University of Colombo on 25th June 2020.
The lecture discussed how this Coronavirus pandemic has brought all of us on the same page. Our resources within a country that is in the national context and outside of it in the international context make our handling of this situation vastly different. In the pandemic, the circadian rhythm of metropolitan lives has undergone a reconfiguration. Earlier, in the urban metropolitan context we moved swiftly whatever be our job. We were busy on many fronts. The pandemic has pressed the pause button. We have halted. And this has created a significant rupture in our lives.
