An international webinar on the theme ‘Current Trends of Hindi Language and Literature: A Global Perspective’ was organized by the CCIS on the 12th January 2021 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm to commemorate the 46th World Hindi Day in collaboration with the High Commission of India, Colombo, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Department of Hindi Studies, Centre for Heritage Studies, University of Kelaniya, Department of Languages, Sabaragamuwa University, Department of Languages, Cultural and Performing Arts Studies, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, National Institute of Language Education and Training, Ministry of Public Services, Local Government and Provincial Councils, SAARC Cultural Centre and SASANI Music Institute.
Various distinguished resource persons of the contemporary field of Hindi Language and Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Calicut University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Tokyo University, Japan and World Hindi Secretariat, Mauritius participated in this webinar. A Hindi Poem Forum was held during the second session with original Hindi poems written by Indian and Sri Lankan nationals.
