Scholarly Discourse on Indian Literature – Lecture 5

The 5^th lecture of Sinhala medium monthly scholarly lecture series organized by the Centre for Contemporary Indian Studies (CCIS) was held on 18^th August 2022 at 4:00pm at the Board Room, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The 5^th lecture was delivered by Senior Lecturer Dr. Jagath Bandara Pathirage (Dept. of Sociology, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka) on ‘A Literary Approach Towards Post-Colonial and Modern Indian Soceity : Rabindranath Tagore, Mahashweta Devi, Anant Murti and Kamleshwar’.

Limited interested audience was invited for the event and a lot of literary connoisseurs participated via Zoom, CCIS Facebook and YouTube channel as well. This scholarly lecture series is organized by the CCIS under the guidance of Chair Senior Professor Upul Ranjith Hewawitanagamage (Director, CCIS).
